And with the arrival of October - good news is following! If you've been anywhere on social media this last week and follow me, then this post will be fairly redundant. In fact, if you're still reading this and you follow me on social media, you are clearly 1) really kind and supportive or 2) related to me.
It is a book birthday! The Little Schoolhouse in the Woods is officially published and orders have started being sent out from Amazon! It blows my mind that my illustrations have been published. That when I search my own name on Amazon it actually shows up!
It is a step in the right direction. I love creating illustrations for a story that I connect with so deeply. But I truly love being able to tell a story that I also get to illustrate.
Fannie's Fight is out on submission now and I wait anxiously (and patiently) for interest. My hope is that The Little Schoolhouse will demonstrate my ability to finish a project at a high level.
For now, I will wait patiently for the arrival of my copies, and enjoy flipping through it on my Kindle.
